These Projects Are Never Complete, But We Helped Them Grow, and Hopefully Take the Next Step Towards Freedom in Jesus

Mathare Valley Slums - Kenya
One Square Mile, 125,000 people. Food Insecurity is a battle everyday for the residents of one of the slums in Kenya. In order to leave the desperate economy, and often dangerous environment, you need to have a job, or a family member willing to take you and your family in. In order to secure employment, you need to have education, even the equivalent to a GED. Children in school, can not focus or develop, without nutrition. Through a local school partner and church, we helped provide lunch for 1,000 students daily for 18 months.

Uganda
Orphans and street kids are a big issue in Uganda. Families may have moved from the rural agricultural communities to the urban centers, to find work. The hight unemployment often finds them not having a secure place for shelter while the parent(s) are trying to earn money. The youth often wander and find other kids in the same environment. From the age of 2, kids are often orphaned because they have no parent capable of being their guardian. With lack of access to school, and food, the state often puts the children into orphanage's. These may help for a short time, but often leads to dangerous situations for the youth, and doesn't actually work towards family restoration, or education opportunities.
We partnered with local churches and job skill training, to help stabilize the family unit.

Microfinance programs implemented in the poorest of communities can help lift entire generations out of poverty. Microloans provide capital for business training, startup costs, and collaboration with other business owners. This provides a self-help way out of the desperate economic situation, without providing another hand-out.
Teaching adults how to save for school fees, business expenses, and support their own children is essential to reducing poverty, and helping those in need get out of the slums.
Through local churches, we helped seed funding for micro savings groups for over 2000 members in just 12 months.

Mayan Villages - Mexico
We helped coordinate building a dormitory for a seminary in Mexico. This ministry training school is a 1 or 2 year program for students to be equipped in Biblical church training. This school is focused on practical training for Mexican's on how to be missionaries in their communities.

Indianapolis, Indiana
We helped fund a staff member to help with counseling, rehabilitation from trafficked, runaway, desperate girls. Human Trafficking takes on many forms, but the one that hits the hardest is the one at home. Indiana is the Crossroads of America, and we have always had a problem with trafficking, unfortunately the market for girls and boys, is now showing its wake of destruction. We partnered with a group who is looking to turn the tide, and make an impact in our community.
They do this by building relationships in Foster Care, and in secure facilities, rebuilding their identity, and showing them the Healer, Jesus.

Indianapolis, Indiana
A local church in Indianapolis was looking to plant 3 satellite churches. They were in need of seed money to secure a loan, and start the remodeling process of one of these locations.

Ghana
We helped coordinate building a dormitory for a seminary in Mexico. This ministry training school is a 1 or 2 year program for students to be equipped in Biblical church training. This school is focused on practical training for Mexican's on how to be missionaries in their communities.

Ukraine
Poverty and people willing to help are never far away from each other. The majority of people in poverty don't want to be there. The old-adage of 'give a man to fish, feeds him for a day, teach a man to fish, feeds him for his life' still rings true today. More importantly than job skills, is opportunity. Ukraine has fertile weather and soil conditions for many prosperous foods. A unique situation is Ukraine's people are educated, and ripe for helping themselves out of poverty, and finding purpose, passion, job skills, and Jesus.
Labor intensive berry, fruit, and vegetable farming can be profitable and successful, but there are many conditions that need to be met first. Through a partnership, we helped an orphan care ministry fund a tractor, which is essential for preparing soil, and in harvest for raspberry and strawberry farms. The workers are paid with living wages, and given care like apart of a family, not an industry. The facility is also home to summer camps for orphans in the community. At the camps, they are given chances to be a kid, and learn about Love, especially God's love for us.

Bangalore, India
Through a strategic partnership, we were able to spread hope to prisons, hospitals, and churches to a country that does not allow evangelism. This is done by spreading the Hope that the Bible teaches, over and over through stories about Jesus giving hope and healing broken hearts.
Due to the sensitivity of the country, and organization, we can not share exact details, but enough to know that by distributing materials that share God's love and Hope in a way that is culturally accepted, and welcome, is nothing short of a miracle in a Christianity oppressed country.

At risk street kids tend to stay on the streets. The longer they are outside the family network, the easier it is for them to get into situations that lead to trouble. We were able to provide a vehicle for missionaries in the D.R. to arrange travel for youth after school to attend a healthy Biblically based program. They could get mentored, have tutors for school, and engage with other youth looking to improve their situation.

Loss is hard. Unexpected loss is even harder. Sometimes standing in the gap means just being a shoulder to cry on, and using resources to help others in a time of desperate need due to the loss of a loved one.
